Samaii is an outstanding young stallion who has had continued success in Germany acheiving a series of firsts in & out of competition!
He has become:
- First British Bred coloured stallion to license in Germany - "Premium" stallion
- First British bred coloured stallion to pass a 30 day test
- First British bred coloured stallion to pass a 70 day test
- First British bred coloured stallion to be life approved for warmblood breeding with all WBFSH studbooks
A translation from the Stallion Licensing says:
"an exceptionally beautiful and well put together stallion with lots of stallion presence and harmony in his conformation, wonderful side picture and first class movement."
Samaii is trained & ridden by Eckhard Wahlers & they have had wins & high placings scoring up to 80% in both Young Horse Materiale classes & Dressage competitions up to L level (Elementary).
He will start competing at (M) Medium level in 2010.
In 2009 his foals won German Regional & National foal Championships & in the UK S Team Spirit was Champion Competition yearling at Equifest.
A very high proportion of his first 2 crops have been awarded Foal Premiums with both ZfdP & Oldenburg Veband.

Samaii, or Zamurai which is the name he was shown under, had a fantastic season showing as a yearling. He was handled by Dinah Webb-Bowen and placed in every class:

Another licensed stallion by Sambertino, Tamberonie (Sambertino/ Festival), has been selected for the World Class Dressage Pathway & Renatino in the USA won "Horse of the Year" in 2008 & ranked 2nd at Inter I in 2009.
DAM: Hanoverian Elite Berolina (Brentano II/ Wenzel II) is from the highly regarded Hanoverian Stamm line of Doerte, dam of Elfi & Hann stallion Endkamf.
This line has also produced Hann licensed stallions Almaden (Grand dam Adrienne) - Reserve 100 day test Champion at Adelheidsdorf, Acambro, Dombek & Graf Galen (Graf Top) a Hanoverian State stud stallion.
She.was purchased through Verden auction & has had 4 foals so far, the eldest 2 of which are now licensed stallions.
Santano her first foal by Sandro Hit was 2006 WBS Reserve Champion stallion and is owned and competed by Grand Prix rider Katrina Cantrell-Bennett.
GRAND SIRE: Brentano II ( Bolero - Grande)
Champion Hanoverian Stallion at the 1985 licensing & winner of the Dressage section of his Performance test scoring 141.41.
In 2003 he was awarded the prestigious title of Hanoverian Stallion of the Year. He is the sire of 20 licensed Hanoverian stallions to date including Bundeschampion Benetton Dream and 2 current Olympic/ World Cup Team horses - Brentina ridden by Debbie McDonald USA and Barclay II ridden by Sven Rothenberger, Netherlands.
His dam line is one of the most important for Hanoverian breeding tracing to the Schumann-mare S449. He is currently the sire of 94 State Premium mares including St Pr Dea II, Champion mare at the Ratje-Niebuhr-Schau Verden 2000.
The stallions Garibaldi I and II, Wolkenstein I and II, Beltain and the Grand Prix star, Beauvalais are all closely related to Brentano II as is Bonaparte a Bolero gelding ridden by Heike Kemmer who was 2003 most succesful dressage horse in the world.
